Pure Digital Technologies F160B

I have a Flip Video F160B and I like the compact size of it. I also like being able to pick one frame and make a still picture out of it.

Some of the things I dislike about it is you can only hold the camera one way - in the portrait view. If you rotate it to landscape view; your picture will be turned in your video and there is no way to rotate it back upright. There is also no mute on the model I own so when you are taking a video on a windy day you get all of the wind noise. You have to hold the camera very steady or your picture will be shaky; I think it magnifies the unsteadiness. On a sunny day it is really hard to see what you are taking a picture of in the display on the back so you don’t always get all of what you thought you were taking a picture of. It is quick and easy to use and that makes up for a lot of its shortcomings.

The program they send with it is a good one with many options. It will even make a video ready for e-mailing. Another nice feature of the program is you can edit the video before you save it so you are able to cut out the beginning or end if you don’t want that saved. The picture it takes is good for a camera of its size and price.

I found that when I was looking at purchasing a property it was great as I could watch the videos and not confuse the properties. All in all it is a nice little camera that fits in your jacket pocket; just remember to keep your batteries charged.
