My husband likes this camcorder because it records straight to DVD. Then, we can watch it right away easily on our television or he can take it to the computer, edit it, and create his own, personalized home movies. It was so much harder trying to work from the camcorder with the tape! It even has features I can understand! The zoom is amazing! We can see my son’s expression when he catches the baseball in the outfield. My husband has mastered the art of being able to record using the LCD screen instead of having to keep his eye glued to the camcorder.

Without making myself sound completely technologically stupid, even I can enjoy and appreciate all of the qualities that it has to offer. I can take the movies myself and my husband can turn them into real movies that are worth keeping as true family records. The best part is that there are a lot of effects that can be accomplished right on the camera, like fader effects, playback in sepia or monotone or pastel. I can make it look like I really know what I am doing!
